Raffle Quilt News
Each member is asked to take 30 tickets to sell (6 for $5 or $1 each) to friends, family or just to purchase yourself to help support the guild. Remember this is our fund raiser since we voted several years ago not to do a quilt show. This is how we fund those wonderful programs we all enjoy.
Our Raffle Quilt Ticket Coordinator will have raffle tickets available for members to pick up at the meetings. There is also a sign-up sheet at the meeting for all the upcoming events which include a few craft shows and quilt guild visits. Please consider signing up where you may be able to help, especially if you are a member of that guild.

This year will be swapping quilted tote bags. Smaller size would be 21 x 21 and every bag must have something quilted on it whether it’s the pockets, the handles or something special on the front of the bag. The bag does not have to be Christmas themed nor does it need to have a zipper. Pinterest has many ideas for wonderful looking tote bags. Start your project now so you’ll be ready for the Santa swap at our Christmas party!
Our July meeting will offer the opportunity to show off your mystery quilt! Whether a flimsy or a finished quilt, please bring your version to share with the guild. As always, feel free to email
Remember to bring your block to each guild meeting. There is no fee to participate in the event – just a chance to have fun being creative. Presentation of completed tops will be at the November meeting. Anyone who is interested in participating or have any questions, please contact Cathy or Jeri.
Join Michael as he shows you how to properly service your machine at home and avoid those pesky maintenance fees! Please note: training will be for domestic machines, Michael is certified in all brands with the exception of Brenna or Burnett.
The Guild is happy to add another UFO day for your sewing pleasure. Any guild member is invited to join us at the Antioch Township Building, the Saturday after our guild meeting. A $5 cash donation will be collected to give to the Antioch Township Center ($10 for non-members).
Do you EQ? The guild has formed an Electric Quilt group. The spark plugs meet via zoom the last Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm. Even if you don’t own EQ, we’d love to have you join us for future meetings. The depth of Electric Quilt is truly remarkable. Refer to the current NLCQG newsletter for more information.
