Upcoming Elections In September

It’s time to vote!
At our September meeting we’ll be casting our ballots for Vice President, Membership and Program chairs. The positions of Vice President remains without a candidate.

The responsibilities of the Vice President are:
1. Back up board members when they are not able to attend guild meetings.
2. Coordinate guild inventory and checkouts.
This is a great way to ease into helping this organization continue it promote the art and education of quilting along with being a welcoming, encouraging group for its members.

Charity Mug Rug Holiday Project

At our July meeting, we introduced our project for nursing home residents this upcoming holiday season; 8” x 10” mug rugs. Are you considering making a few? Do you have a favorite 8” block pattern you are going to use? Do you need some inspiration? A couple of quilters shared with me they plan to use the paper piecing design from the workshop at our recent retreat. What a great idea! If you have questions, please stop by the charity table or email charity@nlcqg.org.
