2023 March UFO – Venue Changed to Lake Villa District Library

Please join us for a fun and productive UFO day at the Lake Villa District Library AS Program Room A/B, 140 N. Munn  Road Lindenhurst, IL from 9:30 AM to 4 PM where we sew and make new friends. Any member of the Northern Lake County Quilters Guild is welcome to attend. Friends of members are also welcome for a $5 guest fee.  There is no registration cost.

Bring one or more of those unfinished objects (UFOs) you have tucked away at home to work on. Click here for a list of suggested items to bring to the UFO:  UFO Packing List (PDF)

Come and stay as long as you want, just an hour or two, or the entire day! There is a refrigerator and microwave available, so you may bring a lunch if you wish. Hope to see you there!

Walker Bag Workshop

Time: 1 – 4 p.m.                                 Cost: $10
Supplied: Pattern, Fabric, Batting & Velcro
Bring: Sewing Machine, Walking or Free Motion Foot, Thread, Pins, Quilt Clips (optional), Scissors, Marking Pencil/Pen, Rotary Cutting Supplies
In this workshop we will learn basic bag construction. Join Shar as together we make a square bottom walker bag with a front pocket. The skills you acquire are easily transferable to a future similar style tote bag. Participants have the option of keeping their completed walker bag or donating it.
