Northern Lake County Quilters Guild – 2022 Fundraiser

This year, for our opportunity quilt, we are offering “Nature’s Splendor!” a beautiful quilt made by our talented members. Nature’s Splendor! is 79” square and an original pattern designed and pieced by our members.  The design encompasses two popular blocks, the nine patch and the square-in-a-square, with green, purple and gold fabrics showcasing the beauty of nature’s flowers, vines and leaves.  It has been beautifully quilted by one of our members on her long arm machine.

To purchase tickets for this beautiful opportunity quilt, click the link below. Everyone who buys tickets must be an Illinois resident and provide an Illinois mailing address.

This quilt helps us raise funds to support our educational programs and to allow us to purchase supplies for quilts we make and donate to Project Linus, multiple Lake County nursing homes, and the Cancer Treatment Center. Our guild typically donates over 100 quilts each year, along with other smaller quilted items like Walker bags, fidget quilts, and mug rugs.

The Northern Lake County Quilters Guild (NLCQG) is an organization of enthusiastic quilters from Northeast Illinois and Southeast Wisconsin established in 1985. We meet monthly in the Antioch – Lake Villa Township Center, 1625 Deep Lake Road, Lake Villa, Illinois. In addition, we have workshops presented by nationally known teachers, special events such as local shop hops, and UFO days where we gather to work on our unfinished or charity projects.

If you enjoy quilting, we hope you will consider joining our guild!
