Did you attend our program in June where we demonstrated how to make a small cartonnge box? Here’s your chance to make your own. On November 19th (Tuesday), we will have a cartonnage workshop where we will make the Colorways Arts small box kit (DIY kit 102). The box is about 6″ x 4.5″ x 2″. The workshop will be from 9:00am to 1:00pm  at the Antioch Townhip Center.  NOTE: This is a repeat of the August and September workshops.

Items to bring to the workshop: (everything else will be supplied)

  • 2 fat quarters
  • Small charm or tassel or ribbon to open the box (optional)
  • Rotary cutter
  • Cutting mat (small mat is OK)
  • Scissors
  • Ruler (12.5″ square is good)
  • Pencil
  • Large old heavy book to use as a weight (for example, 8 1/2″ x 11″ x  1″ thick )

The two fat quarters will be used to cover the inside and outside of the box. The fabric should be 100% cotton. Please cut your fabric before class or arrive early and cut your fabric before class begins. Instructions for selecting and cutting your fabric are in the supply list here:
