On Saturday,May 4th, Jane Reents will teach the workshop “Impatiens Placemats”.

This is a great small project for learning how to paper piece using a Judy Niemeyer pattern. Taught by Certified Instructor, Jane Reents, you will learn the basic Judy Niemeyer pattern techniques and skills including cutting techniques, the language in the pattern, organization, how to paper piece, and how to sew a curved “S” seam. The pattern contains enough papers for four flowers.

Jane Reents lives in Wauconda, IL.  She grew up sewing her own clothing; making the transition to quilting easy. After a shop hop, she received an email from quiltfabric.com! (A certified Judy Niemeyer shop) She saw the most beautiful quilt advertizing a class. Immediately she signed up in January 2010.There she began her first Judy Niemeyer project, Glacier Star. Jane was so excited after the first class! Learning to foundation paper piece was so easy and organized. After the first class, she went online and researched on this “Judy Niemeyer” who she hadn’t heard of before. (Being a fairly new quilter she didn’t know any pattern creators.) She knew immediately she wanted to become a Judy Niemeyer Certified Instructor.
