Hope you can join us for our June meeting at the Antioch Township Center. Doors open at 6:30PM. Meeting starts at 7:00PM.

The lecture will take a close-up look at significant quilts with ties to the Civil War, examining how they not only provided physical warmth, but also encouraged flagging spirits, functioned as fundraisers, and became vehicles for patriotic and political expression.

Leslie Goddard, Ph.D., is an award-winning actress and scholar who has been portraying famous women and presenting history lectures for more than ten years. A former museum director, she is the author of two books on Chicago history and currently works full-time as a historical interpreter, author, and public speaker.
