Holiday TreeHappy Holidays! Our holiday party is Wednesday, December 2nd.  Doors open at 6:15 and dinner is at 6:30. If you plan to attend the dinner, you must have paid before November 25th. So remember to bring your checkbook to the November meeting.  The cost is $20. Hope to see you there!

Doors open at 6:15, dinner is at 6:30 PM and the party starts at 7:00 PM. To attend the dinner, you must register and pay before November 25th. Contact Caroline Linda Anderson to register. Cost is $20.

If you do not attend the dinner, you are  welcome to join us for some special activities starting at 7:00 PM. There will be a block exchange, a fat quarter exchange and a white elephant gift exchange.  You can participate in any or all of these activities. Details are below:

#1 Block Exchange
Make ONE holiday or winter-themed quilt block, 12.5” unfinished. Use any pattern and any technique that you like.  Roll it up and put it inside an empty paper towel tube. Gift-wrap the tube. Find a piece of cardstock – the front of a Christmas card is perfect. Cut it in half (a jagged edge is fun). Tape one half to the tube. When you come to the party put the other half into the basket provided.  People will draw a card from the basket and match it to the card on a wrapped tube.

#2 Fat Quarter Exchange
Make a bundle of four quilt shop quality fat quarters. (You can make several if you’d like.)  They can be purchased new or cut from your stash. They can be coordinated or not. They can be holiday-themed or not. Package them as cleverly as you like. When you come to the party you will draw a number for each bundle you’ve brought. As numbers are called you can pick from among the bundles others have brought.

#3 White Elephant Exchange
Wrap a white elephant – a “treasure” that you no longer love and/or need. It does NOT have to be quilt related. We will have a RIGHT lively passing game to be sure that no white elephant gets LEFT out.
