Join us on Wednesday, May 6th for a heartwarming presentation by local quilter and story teller Debra Lindahl as she shares her fascinating family history through the art of quilt making. Doors open at 6:30 PM, meeting starts at 7:00 PM.
Inspired by her favorite book, The Hundred Dresses by Eleanor Estes, Debra created quilt squares made of family clothing snipped into the shape of dresses. She stitched 100 of these dress squares into a story quilt that tells the joys and struggles of her family’s history reflected in each piece of fabric she chose. Accompanying each quilt square is an essay she wrote, telling 100 stories about the 100 little dresses in this heirloom quilt.
