Beyond the Basics of English Paper Piecing workshop will be given by Catherine Redford.
We’ll start at the beginning with an overview of the basics of EPP stitching some hexagons, before moving on to make a diamond block to work on sharp points. Curves need some extra TLC and we’ll conquer those with a little clamshell square. All the paper shapes needed, thread and needles and a clamshell template will be provided in a kit for $12.
Supply list (to make sampler)
- 6 fat quarters solid or small print fabric
- 12” x 24” low loft cotton batting (will not be used in class)
- fabric scissors
- embroidery scissors
- rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat
- sharpie ultra fine marker or similar
Optional: I will have hexagon and diamond templates available for purchase.
