Charity

NLCQG members make many projects for local charities and charitable organizations each year. Joanne Mittelmeyer and Gayle Thielke are the current charity co-chairs. Please let them know if you have any suggestions for future charity projects.

2018 Charity Events

In December 2018 our guild donated a total 9 quilts and 238 miscellaneous items, including pillowcase, table runners, mug rugs, pocket tissue holders and table toppers.  Our member’s generosity helped to make the holiday season joyful by providing gifts for all the residents at Autumn Leaves, Bickford, and Oak Hill senior living agencies.  In addition, items were given to Project Linus, Cancer Treatment Centers and Hillcrest Nursing Home.
Thank you to everyone who help make 2018 another successful charity year.  The guild made and donated a total of 87 walker bags, 107 quilts and 364 miscellaneous items such as pillowcases, mug rugs, table runners, etc., exceeding our 2017 totals.  We look forward to continuing our Charity Projects in 2019.
